At the rate they are going, they will make this headline prophetic. Tell me something, How could so many Republicans, far and wide have the audacity to label Michelle Obama unpatriotic during President Barack Obama’s campaign yet claim patriotism while wishing that Obama fails?
Most whites and even more blacks knew exactly what the hell Michelle Obama meant when she made statements in Milwaukee. Michelle Obama said, “Hope is making a comeback and, let me tell you, for the first time in my adult life I am really proud of my country. Not just because Barack is doing well, but I think people are hungry for change.”
Michelle Obama is a forty-something African-American female. She grew up in arguably the country’s most diverse and simultaneously racially polarized city in the United States, Chicago. Growing up, she got to witness German Shepards attack women and children because they were black, parts of her city burn to the ground and the assassination of multiple national leaders inclusive of but not limited to John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. If you can’t relate to her statement then you simply refuse to take a cursory look at American History.
While the America we long for has come a long way, there is still a long way to go. I think it is great when Republicans come out and say they hope Obama fails. It shines the proper light on the hypocrisy of a party so fearful of change in the status quo that at any cost, they rather lose by seeing Obama fail, instead of win while he’s calling the plays.
Fred Thompson, Bobby Jindal, Rushbo, Sarah Palin and any other idiot that espouses such nonsense as “they hope he fails” is a godsend for any party other than the GOP. Keep up the good work geniuses. The world is watching. I don’t agree with everything Obama has done. But I support his efforts completely. I would have let AIG fail and every other greedy entity that has been run into the ground by greedy CEOs. I must add, the failed leaders were mostly Republican CEOSs. Unfortunately, if he would have allowed these failures he would have been criticized for doing so.
You Benedict Arnolds keep it up. You think you are in deep right now. You haven’t seen anything yet. The GOP as you all knew it is dead. I hope the New Republican Party is inclusive, collaborative and amiable to partner at all cost to make this nation a better place. The old Klan (pun intended) ain’t what it use to be. Change is…
What are your thoughts about the Republican Party, its future and the public hopes that President Obama fails?
